Monolyth was founded in Halvern in 2009 by Ines Varga-Holm and Teodor Lanck after winning the competition for a small ferry pavilion. We have grown slowly since — one studio, then two — and still review every project on the same long table every Friday.

One table
Every project is reviewed by the whole studio on Fridays. Juniors speak first.

Measured first
No sketch before a measured survey, a carbon budget and a walk around the block.

Open drawings
We publish our details. Good buildings get better when others copy them.
